Overview

What this service covers

When the website says twelve in stock and the ERP says two, a customer ends up let down. Much of this service is agreeing in advance which system wins a conflict and what happens when one side is offline. An outbox pattern in the sync service ensures nothing is lost during downtime, field mappings are documented in a sheet your operations team can read, and a log records every record moved, with its direction, time and outcome. Sync runs one way or both, as scoped. Alerts flag failures and stuck retries, and a regular report compares the two systems side by side.

Deliverables

What you receive

  • A sync service between ERP and web application, one-way or two-way as scoped
  • Field mappings documented in a sheet your operations staff can read
  • Conflict rules for each entity, agreed with you and enforced in code
  • Outbox and retry handling that carries data through downtime on either side
  • A log showing each synced record, direction, time and outcome
  • Alerts for failed syncs and records stuck in retry
  • A regular comparison report between the two systems
How it runs

The work in 4 stages

  1. Stage 1: Chart

We agree the entities and fields, and which system is master for each.

  2. Stage 2: Decide the rules

We document conflict handling, how often data moves and what happens on failure.

  3. Stage 3: Shadow run

The service is built and tested against live data without writing.

  4. Stage 4: Switch on

Sync goes live entity by entity, lowest risk first.

Fit and inputs

Who it suits, and what we need from you

Ideal for

  • Retailers whose online stock never matches the warehouse
  • Businesses entering every order twice in different systems
  • Finance teams manually matching ERP records to online sales

What we need from you

  • Access to the ERP through its API or database, plus a sandbox if available
  • Someone who knows the ERP well enough to explain its fields
  • A decision on which system is the master for each record type

You share these through the brief on your order page after checkout.

Why it helps

What changes for your team

  • Every field has a single agreed owner, enforced in code
  • Downtime delays the sync rather than losing data
  • A complete history that resolves any argument about changes
Questions

Questions about this service

Popular accounting and ERP systems used by Indian businesses, from small-business ledgers to larger enterprise suites, are covered. Other systems are possible if they offer an API.

We can use exported files or read from a database view instead. This runs slower, and the compromises are explained before you order.

Orders sync close to real time, while master data follows a schedule. Frequency is set for each entity during mapping.

This is a remote service: nothing is shipped physically, and the work is delivered into systems you control. See delivery and handover and refunds and cancellation for the full terms.
